Dear Sanela Kalinovic,
Very nice poster and data. I see that your data is published in FRBM.
Having worked on SOD3 for many years I am very interested in optimal measurements of superoxide in the extracellular space.
Previously, I have used isoluminol – with some variable success (perhaps reflecting sensitivity).
PMNs are nice models – as they generate a huge burst of superoxide.
However, what are your experiences with, e.g., LPS-stimulated macrophages? Is it possible to use HE and HPr+ here by using the plate assay?
(we have HPLC equipment, but unfortunately only with a UV/Vis detector – thus plate assay will be first choice).
All th e best,
